   Description

The Finance Lead oversees the organization's financial operations, providing strategic financial guidance, managing financial risks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. They play a critical role in driving economic performance and supporting decision-making processes within the organization


   Duties & Responsibilities

Financial Planning and Analysis:

Develop and implement financial strategies to achieve organizational goals.
Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Monitor financial performance against budgets and targets, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.

Financial Reporting and Compliance:

Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analyses and reports for strategic and operational
meetings for the business.
Preparing accurate monthly management accounts before the 5th day of every month.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
Coordinate internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.

Risk Management and Internal Controls:
Identify and assess financial risks, implement mitigation measures, and safeguard organizational assets.
Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure the integrity and reliability of financial information.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements as needed.

Treasury and Cash Management:
Manage cash flow and liquidity to meet operational needs and financial obligations.
Monitor banking activities and recommend appropriate banking relationships and services.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of financial goals with organizational objectives.

Budgeting.
Assisting in the preparation of the budget for the company.
Comparing actual financial reports to Budget & and identifying reasons for any deviation from the plan/budget.

Reconciliation.
Reviewing the reconciliation and scheduling of all balance sheet accounts & and their sub-ledger accounts.
Reconciling all revenue-related TBs on an ongoing basis.
Maintaining the fixed assets register and physical verification of fixed assets


   Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

● Extensive experience (5+ years) in finance roles, with a proven track record of financial leadership.

● Experience in the manufacturing industry is a must. FMCG will be an added advantage

● Experience in preparing financial statements in compliance with regulatory requirements.

● Advanced proficiency in financial analysis techniques such as ratio analysis, variance analysis, and trend analysis.

● Ability to interpret financial data to provide insights into business performance and trends.

● Experience in financial modeling and forecasting to support strategic decision-making.

● High ethical standards and integrity in handling confidential information.

● Understanding of corporate tax laws and regulations
